Overview

I designed this solution during my internship at Deloitte Consulting where I analysed the applicability of Blockchain in B2B Payments in order to overcome existing pain points. I also received a full opportunity to work with Deloitte post my internship. 

 
Problem Statement
To handle monetary transactions, businesses today are completely reliant on banks and centralised financial institutions. The high frequency and large value of some B2B payments might make payment expenses more difficult. For smaller firms, it may be difficult to absorb a fee associated with some modes of payment since each transaction creates a cost.

Objective
Analyze the applicability of Blockchain in B2B payments to improve and eliminate the challenges faced by businesses currently. This involves identifying and analyzing the current process involved in B2B transactions and then leveraging the SAP cloud to eliminate the non-value-adding processes by replacing them through a combination of Pre-set applications, Blockchain and DLT.

  1. Analyze the Current processes involved in B2B transactions and accurately identify pain points
  2. Perform industry analysis to identify a suitable industry that can leverage blockchain with maximum profitability
  3. Identify platforms to develop blockchain use cases and propose use cases leveraging blockchain to improve B2B transactions
  4. Design a strategy to propose the blockchain-backed solution package to clients.
